Bastille celebrations

Friday 14th July marks Bastille Day in France, a celebration akin to that of Independence Day in the States. The national holiday, in remembrance of the storming of the Bastille, marks the tipping point when the revolution spread in France. This led to the downfall of the monarchy and the death of Louis XVI and his wife Queen Marie Antoinette.

Whilst the former prison site is only signified by a monument these days, the date of the event remains an important one. Patriotic pride resides over patriotic history, so it is the perfect excuse to lavish your customers with their favourite French cuisine.

Our extensive range of breads, viennoiseries and patisseries honour the joie de vivre of modern French food. The classic chocolate éclair rivals the simplicity of the pain aux raisins, whilst the parmigiano reggiano medallion, the traditional multi-cereal roll and mini focaccia are perfect paired with a summer soup or salad.
